Single unit enrolmentYou can apply to study a single subject (unit) at Monash University, without enrolling in an entire course. Students enrolled in a course at Monash can also apply to enrol into single units as non-award study outside their award course. Unit outlines are in the Monash Handbook. Single unit enrolment is a competitive process due to a limited number of places, which are made available by the faculty teaching the unit. You can apply to enrol in a maximum of four units (24 credit points) in a single semester (unless the unit is for the full year). This is no guarantee of enrolment into a course. Some faculties offer units outside the standard semesters. See summer and winter semester. Current Victorian Year 12 students can apply to enrol in two units as part of the Enhancement Studies Program. To applyUndergraduate units

Closing dates for applications
To enrolYou will be advised in writing of the outcome of your application. If successful, you will receive information on how to enrol in units. If amending your enrolment for single unit enrolment you must do so by the deadline to avoid fees and fail grades. See Monash University census dates. FeesAll units are charged at the full-fee rate as government funding (CSP) is not offered for single unit enrolments. The Faculty of Information Technology (IT) offers a full-fee allowance to some students paying full-fees. For eligibility and details, see Faculty of IT scholarships. ResultsOnce your results are released, you can order an official academic record (transcript) through the Web Enrolment System (WES) or Monash Connect. For details, see academic record. If you intend to enrol in a course after completing single units you may be able to apply for a credit transfer. Related links
