Monash University Risk Management System

The Monash University Risk Management System (MURMS) is an Access-based system developed by Audit & Risk Management Office.

The purpose of the system is to collate and generate reports on risks identified in operating units within Monash University and its controlled entities. The underlying principles of the reports are derived from the Australian/New Zealand Standard 4360:1999 on Risk Management.

MURMS allows reports to be downloaded into Excel spreadsheets for distribution to operational areas. The operational areas are responsible for reviewing and updating their risk profiles annually. Revised risk profiles are returned by the operational areas to the Audit & Risk Management Office for uploading into MURMS.

Reports generated by MURMS include:

  • the overall risk profile
  • graphical representation of the risk ratings, impact and categories
