Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ)Approximately four months after completing a course of study, graduates of Australian universities are invited to respond to a five scale Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) and the Graduate Destination Survey (GDS). These surveys are Australia-wide surveys, administered by each tertiary institution to their own graduates, under the national co-ordination of Graduate Careers Australia. They have been administered since 1993. Until August 2002, the CEQ looked at perceptions on five facets of graduates’ course experiences: the quality of teaching; the clarity of goals and standards; the nature of the assessment; the level of the workload; and the enhancement of their generic skills. Since 2002, student perceptions of their course experience has been measured through 5 scales and a global satisfaction item. Details of scale and global item structure is detailed in the Table 1. Table 1: Descriptive Information for scales used in CEQ from October 2002.
