Religious Centre Hire

As well as providing a place for spiritual reflection on campus, the Religious Centre is available for a variety of events and ceremonies including weddings, baptisms, funerals, memorial services, concerts, seminars and conferences.

The Main Chapel in the centre seats approximately 450 people, whilst the Small Chapel seats approximately 40 people. The Religious Centre also has several smaller meeting rooms suitable for group discussion.

The Religious Centre also houses a grand piano (Yamaha), pipe organ and harpsichord, all of which are available for hire.

Please note The Religious Centre will be undergoing minor upgrading and renovations during Semester Two.  We are still accepting bookings through this period, but wish to advise that these are subject to change.  There will be evidence of works occurring and there may be some disruption to services and facilities during this time.  We hope to be able to stagger the works so that they cause the least amount of disruption to bookings, but there will be times when this is not possilbe.  We expect to receive a work schedule prior to work commencing and willl advise you immediately if this will affect your booking

Weddings at Monash

The Religious Centre is a wonderful venue for wedding ceremonies. It is a multi-faith centre, open for anyone to use regardless of their denomination or circumstance. The Main Chapel has seating capacity for 450 people , whilst the Small Chapel seats 40 people for more intimate ceremonies.

The Religious Centre is located in the heart of Clayton campus, amongst university gardens and conveniently situated next door to the University Club, which makes an ideal ceremony and reception venue package. The university offers plentiful free parking for wedding guests and the variety of University gardens make a delightful backdrop for wedding photography.
