Family And Child Care Service

The Services Objectives

  1. Support families to maximise their educational and employment opportunities within the University by:
    • co-ordinating the Vacation Care Program, Clayton Campus
    • providing up to date information concerning On Campus Services, including child care services, parenting rooms and University policies concerning work, study and family responsibilities.
    • providing up to date information on a range of family friendly services, child care information and family life resources.
    • Advising students and staff on selecting the most suitable child care arrangements.
    • Referring to on-campus counselling.
    • Providing up to date information on Government Rebates and Services.
    • Identifying suitable community networks aimed at supporting families.
    • Monitor external child care and family service trends which impact on students and staff.
  2. Offer preventative and educational information concerning:
    • parenting programs
    • relationship education
    • elder care
    • carers
    • special needs
  3. Co-ordinate seminars and programs on campus for students and staff on a range of family issues, including parenting programs and elder care.
  4. Monitor issues raised by students and staff identified as being adverse to their educational and employment opportunities within the University.
