Get Active @ Monash

Performing regular exercise should be a vital component of everyone's routine. It helps keep your body and your mind in top shape. Monash provides a great range of programs and activities for staff, friends and family to participate in at work and outside of work at all campuses. Click on the links below for more information.

Monash Sport - has operations at the Caulfield, Clayton and Peninsula campuses.

Group Fitness Classes - Staff can participate in cycling, yoga, pilates, aerobics and other classes before work, during lunchtime and after work.

Casual Court Hire - Staff can book courts for use with colleagues or family/friends. Courts for hire include badminton, squash, tennis, table tennis and basketball.

Aquatics - The Doug Ellis Swimming Pool at Monash University Clayton comprises three heated indoor pools under the one roof.

Social Sport - You can participate in fun and social competitions during lunchtime.

Sport Clubs - A number of sport clubs ranging from football, cricket, baseball, waterpolo, ultimate frisbee to handball available for you to get involved with.

Walking maps - Staff can download a variety of walking maps available for Berwick, Peninsula, Bendigo, Gippsland, Alfred, Clayton, Caulfield, and Parkville campus.  They are ideal for a lunchtime stroll or brisk walk with a colleague.

TeamMONASHTM - Each year the University participates in a number of major local and international events.  TeamMONASHTM comprises of students, staff, alumni, friends and family that are a part of the Monash community who come together at these events to represent the University.

10,000 Steps - Staff each year are invited to participate in the 10,000 Steps Challenge, a workplace wellbeing initiative that encourages staff to form teams and each walk 10,000 steps a day.
