Monash Law School Rural Bursary

Monash Law School recognises that many of our best students have come from rural and isolated areas and that there is an increasing shortage of lawyers in rural areas which is of concern to the profession. Through the Monash Law School Foundation Rural Bursaries, we aim to address this.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
  • studying Australian Year 12 or IB in 2008, and
  • be from a rural or isolated area, and
  • intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Law at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students.

$2,500 one-off payment.

This bursary cannot be deferred.
