AMREP Honours Scholarship
Note: Students must indicate their intent to apply for an AMREP Honours Scholarship in the application form.
In Scholarship Questions Section 1: select 'Monash University Honours Scholarships'.
In Scholarship Questions Section 2: in your response to 'How will your scholarship benefit you?' you must enter a statement of your intention to apply for an AMREP Honours Scholarship.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be:
- an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
- an international student, and
- completing a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree at the end of 2008, and
- intending to enrol in a full-time Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP) honours program at a Monash campus in Australia in 2009.
Selection criteria
Awarded to the highest achieving eligible applicants with a minimum grade average of 80 per cent across their three years of undergraduate study. Applicants will be ranked according to results, and short listed applicants may be interviewed by an AMREP scholarship panel.
Value
$6,000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Retention
Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and demonstrate that satisfactory progress is being achieved. This will be determined by a brief report from the student's honours supervisor.
Deferability
This scholarship cannot be deferred.
2009 Applications
Applications open 10:00am (AEST) Friday 1 August 2008 and close 5:00pm (AEST) Friday 31 October 2008.
