Faculty of Arts Disadvantaged Student Study Assistance Bursaries

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• commencing a Monash University honours program in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia, and
• from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantaged groups.

Selection criteria

Awarded to eligible applicants on the basis of need and academic achievement in their previous tertiary studies.

Value

$2,000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Number available in 2009

Variable, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of credit grade average (60 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
