Faculty of Arts Honours Merit Scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
• an international student, and
• commencing an honours program in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students who achieve a minimum of a high distinction weighted average mark (80 per cent) in their undergraduate major/honours specialisation.

Value and number available

$4000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the honours degree for the highest achieving student.

$3000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the honours degree for all other students awarded the scholarship.

The number available is variable, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent).

Applications

All eligible students will be automatically assessed.

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
