Faculty of Arts Honours Merit Scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
• an international student, and
• commencing an honours program in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students who achieve a minimum of a high distinction weighted average mark (80 per cent) in their undergraduate major/honours specialisation.

Value

$4000 per 48 credit points of study for the duration of the degree up to a maximum of one year for the highest achieving student, or

$3000 per 48 credit points of study for the duration of the degree up to a maximum of one year for all other students awarded the scholarship.

Variable, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
