Faculty of Arts Honours Merit Scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
an international student, and
commencing a Monash University honours program in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students who achieve a minimum of high distinction (80 per cent) grade average in relevant studies.

Value

$4,000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree for the highest achieving student, or
$3,000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree for all other students awarded the scholarship.

Variable, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of distinction grade average (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.

2009 Applications

All students enrolled in a Faculty of Arts honours program are automatically assessed based on the grade average achieved in their undergraduate major/honours specialisation.
