Faculty of Arts Honours Study Assistance Scholarships

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• commencing a Monash University honours program in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students who receive a minimum of high distinction (80 per cent) grade average in previous tertiary studies.

Value

$2,000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Variable, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of distinction grade average (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.

2009 Applications

All students enrolled in a Faculty of Arts honours program are automatically assessed based on the grade average achieved in their undergraduate major/honours specialisation.
