Victorian Ambulance CALD Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• a commencing undergraduate student, and
• intending to enrol full-time in the first year of the Bachelor of Emergency Health (Paramedic) at a Monash campus in Australia, and
• from a non-English speaking background, and
• able to demonstrate financial hardship.

Selection criteria

In the application, students must demonstrate that they:

• speak a language other than English fluently
• have ongoing connections or identify with their ethnic community.

Awarded based on need. The selection panel may include consideration of academic results in determining final ranking order and may also interview applicants where further information is required.

Value

$7,500 per annum, payable for the duration of the degree up to a maximum of three years.

Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and a minimum of a pass grade average (50 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
