To be eligible, you must be:
· an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
· studying Australian Year 12 or IB in 2011, or
· completed Year 12 or IB in a previous year, or
· a New Zealand citizen completing the NCEA level 3 examination in 2011, or
· a continuing Monash University undergraduate student, and
· enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia, and
· from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantage groups.
Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students based on a combination of academic achievement and need. Eligible Year 12 students must have achieved an ATAR score or equivalent of at least 95.00. Continuing students are selected based on academic achievement with a minimum of a high distinction weighted average mark (80 per cent).
Scholarships will be awarded to Year 12 students first, with any remaining scholarships to be offered to other applicants.
$6000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree. The number available is variable depending on funding. In 2011, 140 scholarships were available.
Recipients must maintain a minimum of a credit weighted average mark (60 per cent).
Deferability
This scholarship can be deferred.
