Mitsubishi Australia Ltd - Monash Endeavour Scholarship

The Mitsubishi Australia Ltd Endeavour Scholarship is dedicated to facilitating the completion of a Japanese studies degree at undergraduate, Honours or coursework postgraduate level.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent visa, and
• be enrolled in third year of your bachelor degree, an Honours degree or a postgraduate (coursework) degree, and
• majoring in Japanese or Japanese studies, or be enrolled in postgraduate (coursework) Japanese studies.

Selection criteria

Awarded to eligible students based on:

• academic performance in Japanese (language) or Japanese studies in first and second year,
• evidence of a clear program of further study in Japanese or Japanese studies, either to finalise an undergraduate major in Japanese or Japanese studies, to enter into Honours in Japanese, or to support a postgraduate (coursework) degree in Japanese studies,
• a statement of purpose by the student, clearly outlining the student’s future study plans and demonstrating the need for this scholarship,
• the student’s agreement to meet with members of Mitsubishi Australia and to present an aspect of their research to the company.

Value and number available

$5000 per annum for one year only. One scholarship is available.

Retention

Students must complete the course of study they proposed in their application for the scholarship.

Deferability

The scholarship cannot be deferred.
