Monash University Law Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
  • studying Australian Year 12 or IB in 2011, and
  • from a regional and remote area, and
  • intending to enrol in any of the Faculty of Law undergraduate degrees at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible Year 12 students based on their ATAR score or equivalent. Students must have achieved an ATAR score or equivalent of at least 95.00.

Value and number available

$6000 per 48 credit points of study, for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree. The number available is variable depending on funding. In 2011, three scholarships were available.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship can be deferred.
