Monash-Pratt Musician Performance Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
• an international student, and
• a commencing music performance student intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate course conducted by the School of Music at a Monash campus in Australia, and
• playing an endangered instrument as determined by the School of Music at Monash University.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the eligible student based on a two-stage selection process consisting of a combination of audition/interview and academic performance.

Value

• Commonwealth-Supported Place contributions paid for either one year or half a year for domestic students, or
• $5,000 paid for one year or $2,500 paid for half a year for international students.

Number available in 2009

Up to two.

Retention

Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and a minimum of a distinction grade average (70 per cent).

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
