Dr Gilbert M Davis Award

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• a commencing or continuing full-time undergraduate student, and
• enrolled or intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at a Monash campus in Australia, and
• able to demonstrate financial disadvantage, and
• relocated from a regional and remote area.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students based on a combination of academic achievement and demonstration of financial disadvantage and rural relocation. Year 12 students will be selected based on ENTER score or equivalent and continuing students will be selected based on weighted average mark in the MBBS. Preference will be given to students who reside or have resided in the Shire of Rutherglen.
