Dr Gilbert M Davis Award

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa and,
  • a commencing or continuing full-time undergraduate student, and
  • enrolled or intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at a Monash campus in Australia, and
  • able to demonstrate financial hardship, and
  • have moved from a rural or isolated area.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students based on a combination of ENTER score or equivalent or grade average and demonstration of financial disadvantage and rural address. Preference will be given to students who reside or have resided in the Shire of Rutherglen.

Retention

Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment.

Deferability

This award cannot be deferred.
