Monash Rural Housing Bursary

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
studying Australian Year 12 or IB in 2008, or
a student that has completed Year 12 or IB in a previous year and not undertaken any previous study at a tertiary level and applying for a course at Monash through VTAC in 2008, and
from a rural or isolated area *, and
intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

* students must be relocating from the rural area closer to University to be eligible.

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students on the basis of need. Preference will be given to students who are also from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantage groups.

$4,800 per annum for one year only.

Variable, depending on funding.

Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and a minimum of a pass grade average (50 per cent).

This bursary cannot be deferred.
