MNHS International Honours Scholarship
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be:
- an international student, and
- enrolled or intending to enrol in a full-time honours bachelor degree program* within a school or department in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at a Monash campus in Australia in 2009, or
- enrolled or intending to enrol full-time in the Master of Biomedical Science (Part 1, course code: 2970) at a Monash campus in Australia in 2009.
* Students enrolled in an embedded Honours program such as Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) - 3891, Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) - 3864 or Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) - 3869 should be in their final year of the degree in 2009.
Selection criteria
Scholarships will be awarded to the highest achieving students who achieve a minimum grade average of 75% in previous tertiary studies. Students must also demonstrate their research potential in their scholarship application as measured by previous research involvement including, vacation scholarships, research based units, work experience etc.
Applicants from other universities are required to submit certified copies of their academic transcripts.
Value
$10,000 per 48 credit points of study, up to a maximum of one year only paid directly to tuition fees.

Retention
Recipients of this scholarship must maintain full-time enrolment.
Deferability
This scholarship cannot be deferred.
2009 Applications
Direct applicants for honours programs in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences will be automatically considered when they submit a course application.
Current Monash students are required to submit an application between 10:00am (AEST) Friday 1 August 2008 and 5:00pm (AEST) Friday 31 October 2008.
