Dr Paul Baker ScholarshipThe Dr Paul Baker Scholarship was established in 1996 by Dr John Serry in memory of Dr Paul Baker who was in general practice in Yarram, Victoria for 30 years. The scholarship was introduced in 1996 to assist rural students studying the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery with relocation and living away from home expenses. Selection criteriaAwarded to the highest achieving eligible students based on a combination of academic achievement and demonstration of financial disadvantage and rural relocation. Year 12 students will be selected based on ENTER score or equivalent and continuing students will be selected based on weighted average mark in the MBBS. ValueVariable, depending upon funding. Number available in 2010Variable, depending upon funding. RetentionRecipients must maintain full-time enrolment. DeferabilityThis scholarship cannot be deferred. |
