Monash Refugee Bursary

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an international student and the holder of a temporary protection visa or bridging visa (E), and
• a commencing or continuing undergraduate student, and
• enrolled or intending to enrol in an on-campus undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Applicants will be assessed on academic merit based on the information provided. In addition, consideration may be given in recognition of educational disadvantage and demonstrated financial hardship.

Value

Course fees paid for up to one year only.

Number available in 2009

Up to five, depending on funding.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a pass grade average (50 per cent).

Deferability

This bursary cannot be deferred.
