Ryvka and Mordechai Lewin Memorial Yiddish Travel Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
• an international student, and
• enrolled in a coursework degree involving research on Yiddish culture and in one of the following Yiddish language units (Yiddish language, culture and literature’ unit (1A/1B/2A/2B/3A/3B) in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving students with a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent) in Yiddish studies or evaluation of a Yiddish research project. Financial disadvantage may also be taken into consideration.

Value and number available

$3000 one-off payment. One scholarship is available.

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
