Social and Community Welfare Placement Travel Bursary
The Social and Community Welfare Placement Travel Bursary has been introduced to assist students who are in financial need to complete a field education component of the Social and Community Welfare degree.
To be eligible, you must be:
- an Australian citizen, and
- a final year undergraduate student enrolled in any Social and Community Welfare program including any associated double degree at the Monash Gippsland campus, and
- able to demonstrate financial disadvantage, and
- undertaking a placement in an Indigenous welfare agency or a disadvantaged community in Australia (eg refugee groups), or in an isolated rural community where travel costs are prohibitive and the needs demonstrable.
Awarded to eligible students on the basis of need. Students must meet the academic criteria to commence their field education and practice placement.
$2000 one-off payment. One scholarship is available.
Deferability
This bursary cannot be deferred.
