Monash Travel Abroad Equity Grants

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and
• a continuing Monash University undergraduate student, and
• approved to participate in a Monash Abroad exchange program in 2009, and
• from one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantage groups.

Selection criteria

Awarded on the basis of need to eligible applicants.

Value

$2,500 one-off payment.

Number available in 2009

Variable, depending on funding.

Deferability

This grant cannot be deferred.

2009 Applications

Applications open 10:00am (AEST) Friday 1 August 2008 and close 5:00pm (AEST) Friday 31 October 2008.

Students must submit an online Monash scholarships application between August and October 2008 for this grant for study abroad in either semester one or two of 2009.
