Walter and Eliza Hall Trust Opportunity Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian citizen, and
• have satisfactorily completed first-year studies in, and be currently enrolled full-time in an approved degree in a Commonwealth supported place majoring in social work or nursing at a Monash campus in Australia, and
• able to demonstrate financial disadvantage.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students based on a combination of academic achievement and need.

Value and number available

$6000 per annum for one year only to be used for study expenses (text books and equipment). The recipients are required to provide a report to the donor at the end of the year. Two scholarships are available. One for a student enrolled in a social work degree and one for a student enrolled in a nursing degree.

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
