Zelman and Diana Elton Honours Scholarship

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa, or
• an international student, and
• Enrolled in an honours degree* in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash Campus in Australia

* Students must be enrolled in at least one Jewish studies unit and be writing a thesis in the field of Jewish civilisation, which is supervised by staff from the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students with a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent). Financial disadvantage may also be taken into consideration.

Value and number available

$4000 per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree. One scholarship is available.

Retention

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction weighted average mark (70 per cent) in semester one.

Deferability

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
