Use of Computers in Examinations

To request the use of computers in examinations students are required to provide documentation as per DLU documentation guidelines at http://adm.monash.edu/sss/equity-diversity/disability-liaison/students/documentation-guidelines.html

Students should be aware of the risks associated with using a computer in exam conditions e.g. power failure or computer malfunction. Students are reminded to save their work to the computer hard drive regularly to avoid loss of work.

Students may only bring into the exam venue material authorised by the department.

Students are not permitted to bring into the exam venue, computer memory sticks, disks, mobile phones, CD’s, or any device which stores electronic material.

In the case of an open book exam, students are not permitted to use any written material stored electronically.

Please note: Possession of unauthorised materials in an exam is a discipline offence under Monash Statute 4.1.

At the commencement of the exam students will be provided with a disk or memory stick by the Examinations Unit.

Students will be required to print out a hard copy of their exam on completion using the disk or memory stick provided.  The printed copy will be submitted to the examiner.
