Terms of Reference

  • To advise Council on the adoption of policies, revision to policies and strategies, which will enable the University to provide equality of opportunity in education and employment, including the provision of equity planning and the fulfillment of affirmative action objectives.
  • To monitor and advise on the effectiveness of policies and programs to promote equal opportunity for disadvantaged groups in education and employment.
  • To monitor and advise on the implementation of the University’s equal opportunity policy in the University’s employment procedures and practices.
  • To monitor and advise on the implementation of the University’s equal opportunity policy in the University’s educational procedures and practices, particularly as they relate to admissions, assessment and the provision of student services.
