Equal Opportunity On Line Training Module 4: Disability Law & AccessInclusive PracticesThinking ahead during workplace planning and with course preparation and being mindful of the needs of people with disabilities in all areas of university life will make Monash a more inclusive institution. This is also known as inclusive practice. Inclusive practices take into consideration the design of buildings and the way courses are designed or taught. The goal is to have Monash University a place where, as far as possible, people with disabilities will be able to work and study without needing to organise special arrangements or request support. This will put into effect Article 5 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Disable Persons which states "Disabled persons are entitled to the measures designed to enable them to become as self-reliant as possible".
