Preamble

Monash University acknowledges that visa clearance is required for all persons entering Australia who do not hold an Australian or New Zealand passport*.

This procedure contains information related to employment and visiting visas. Monash employees coordinating visa applications are encouraged to check the Department of Immigration and Citizenship site for up-to-date information on these visas. The International HR Division can be contacted at hr-immigration@monash.edu with any queries regarding visas or citizenship issues.

* At the time of presenting their passports for immigration clearance, New Zealand passport holders are considered to have applied for a visa and, subject to health or character considerations, will automatically receive an Special Category Visa (SCV) which is recorded electronically.
